Littles No More

My daughter was the first to graduate. My son the next. His from 8th grade. On to his final stretch of schooling with High School. At my daughter's graduation I realized, she's all grown up. She'll be leaving the nest for college soon. With my son's graduation, I came to the realization that, I don't have littles anymore. No more mommy's, no more boo boo's. They're both past that.

It's a strange feeling knowing that you'll have very few middle of the night wake ups from sick tummy's or nightmare's. Now, they only wake you for the big things. "Mom, I threw up on my bed & put it in the washer but, where are the extra blankets??" "Mom, I had a wicked nightmare last night!!"

Time flew by so fast and I recall a line from one of my favorite movies "They grow up fast. Turn your head and they're grown. Blink and you might just miss it"....

High School will be different with him. A little more challenging but, we'll get through it and I couldn't be more proud that he's made it here.
